At Milly Glass, Mombasa we produce Type III flint glass bottles for the Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage industry. There is an infrastructure dedicated to in-house glass bottle printing facility in this facility. Our facilities have the latest machines and equipment sourced from globally reputed suppliers. The furnaces, distributors, and forehearths are by HORN (Germany); IS machines from EMHART (Switzerland) and Bottero (Italy; Stackers from Bottero (Italy); With auto inspection, single liners, palletizers and printing we provide a complete environment friendly sustainable packaging solution.

Customized Designs

Glass bottles are manufactured by melting sand and blowing the molten viscous material into required shape using a mould and then cooled. The process may looks simple, but multiple technologies are used to get a defect-free glass bottle. The various steps involved in glass bottle manufacturing are – Raw material preparation, batching process, melting at 1450 degrees and refining, cooling and conditioning of the glass, forming of the glass bottles in moulds/dies, hot end coating to seal micro checks and improving strength, annealing or removing the thermal stress, cold end coating to prevent rubbing and scratch marks, inspection and SQC, packing and then warehousing/ dispatch. All the bottles are designs are customised based on its application.
